A one-year project to train 1,050 women from eight villages in the area at a cost of Rs 1. 3 crore.
The project aims to introduce modern technology, provide infrastructure for fishermen and add value to fish products.
As part of the project, post-fish training will be provided for fishermen from two blocks of achouta pram Mandal
Harvest Technology, wet fish processing and value-added.
According to the district fishermen Youth Welfare Association (DFYWA)
Arjili Dasu, executive director, who is implementing the project in the region, will hold nine training workshops, after which trade unions will be formed in these eight villages and a Federation will be formed later.
He said the fishermen selected for the project had a poor economic background.

Harvest Technology, 400 will gain expertise in wet fish processing, and the remaining 300 will gain value-added.
Dasu said that although it involves the drying of fish, the pickling and packaging of fish after harvest, wet fish processing will provide information on how to deal with fish, maintain the quality of fish, and limit damage to fish, and ensure that health procedures are instilled.
In addition, the value added includes, among other things, the preparation of pickled fish, mun meat and meat chops.
These products will be promoted at various exhibitions across the state.
V Raji, another participant, said the project will also bring about social change
The economic situation of fishermen and women.
This, in turn, will help them make significant efforts in fish conservation to deal with issues such as the construction of artificial coral reefs and encourage other fishermen in the region to follow this model, she said.
Ultimately, in order to sell their products, a fish shop center will be set up at various locations in the city, especially on the beach roads of tourist hotspots such as r k beach and Tenneti Park.
The first year of three years
This year\'s program is aimed at training and will focus on building infrastructure in the second year by purchasing equipment such as packaging machines, bags, ice boxes, fish drying hangers, etc.
Raji added that the focus of the third year will be to set up outlets for the sale of fish products.
