What is the role of the reject device of the checkweigher

Almost all checkweighers are equipped with a separate removal device to realize the function of sorting products or obtaining qualified products of the checkweigher, and its position should be after the checkweigher. In order to check the weighing scale, the qualified product is obtained after removing the unqualified product. If product quality management only uses weight inspection, then after the product passes the checkweigher, it is necessary to obtain sorted products or products with qualified weight according to the purpose of the product's checkweighing. This needs to be completed by the rejection device. The rejection device is a device that rejects a part of the product from the online product stream in response to the signal sent by the control system. The rejection device can be an integral part of the checkweigher, or it can be provided separately. The rejection signal is sent from the checkweigher controller to the checkweigher or downstream rejection device. Usually the rejection signal is composed of mechanical contacts or solid state relays with high and low voltage outputs. When the checkweigher is integrated with the metal detector and the X-ray detection device to form a combined checkweigher machine system, not only the unqualified products need to be rejected, but also the unqualified products need to be rejected through the metal detector and X-ray detection device. Although the equipment that performs specific rejection actions for different detection devices is different, they are all combined in a large rejection device. When other defect detection equipment is installed on the production line, such as skew product detectors and box opening detectors, these defective items also need to be removed from the production line. Products that are oriented incorrectly (skewed or slightly rotated) make their length in the forward direction longer than the actual length when they are oriented correctly, which may affect the weighing performance. Even slightly rotating products may cause problems downstream, causing unsmooth delivery, and even blocking or stopping the production line. The earlier errors are detected and products removed from the product flow, the more efficient the overall equipment of the production line. Usually, photoelectric switches or other sensors can be used to determine the orientation of the product, and then skewed products that are incorrectly oriented are removed from the production line. The production line of packaging boxes continues to accelerate, and there is always the risk of openings in some packaging boxes. If it is not detected, this risk may damage downstream printing equipment, visual detection systems and sensors, and cause blockages. The product control option can be configured on the checkweigher to detect the opening of the packaging box and remove it immediately to avoid production interruption to the greatest extent. In addition, since this is a configurable option, there is no need to provide additional space on the production line, thereby minimizing manufacturing space.
