A washing machine filled with water was drowned in an apartment in New Delhi.
The police deputy commissioner, MN Tiwari, said the accident occurred in the Rohini area on Saturday, when the mother of the twins left their residence for about 6 to 7 minutes.
According to police, the mother asked the boys to play in the apartment and after filling the washing machine with water, went to a local grocery store to buy washing powder.
\"The woman said she was leaving the door open and she couldn\'t find her boy when she came back about six minutes later,\" Tiwari said . \".
The woman called her husband who was working and they were looking for twins with their neighbors before they found them in the machine.
They were rushed to a local hospital and declared dead.
\"It looks like an accident on the surface,\" Tiwari said . \".
