The deoxidizer used for food deoxidization packaging should pay attention to the following issues: First, it must be safe and non-toxic. If the deoxidizer is enclosed in the food packaging container, it may come into contact with the food, and may even be eaten by mistake. Therefore, the deoxidizer must be safe and non-toxic. Secondly, the deoxidizer should not react chemically with the packaged material, let alone produce peculiar smell or even produce harmful substances. Therefore, when using a deoxidizer, it is necessary to understand the properties of the deoxidizer and the characteristics of the packaged material. Finally, the appropriate deoxidizer is selected according to different deoxidation requirements. For product packaging that requires rapid deoxidization, quick-acting deoxidizers should be selected. Conversely, a slower (slow-acting) deoxidizer can be used. When used in products with strict restrictions on oxygen content, a deoxidizer with high deoxidation effect should be selected. The deoxidation effect of the deoxidizer is closely related to the deoxidation ambient temperature. The deoxidizer is usually used in a temperature range of 5~40°C. As the temperature increases, the activity of the deoxidizer increases and the deoxidization speed increases; when the temperature decreases, the activity decreases and the deoxidation speed decreases. The deoxidizer must be well packaged before being subcontracted for use, and it cannot be directly contacted with the atmosphere.
