In order to maintain or maintain the atmosphere in the packaging container, food vacuum inflatable packaging puts forward different requirements for packaging materials. The air permeability and moisture permeability of plastic packaging materials vary with the influence of polymer molecular structure, film thickness, temperature and humidity and other factors; after vacuum or inflatable packaging is affected by the atmospheric environment, the oxygen content in the packaging container or the difference of each component of the mixed gas. The concentration will vary, and the principle of choosing packaging materials is to reduce the impact of the atmospheric environment and obtain the longest possible shelf life. According to the characteristics of food preservation, the materials used for vacuum and inflatable packaging can be divided into two categories: one is high-barrier packaging materials, which are used for vacuum and inflatable packaging of food preservation to reduce the oxygen content in the packaging container. and the change in the concentration of each component of the mixed gas; the other is the breathable packaging material, which is used to maintain a low respiration rate when it is used for inflatable packaging of fresh fruits and vegetables. Vacuum and air-filled packaging have the same requirements on the moisture permeability of packaging materials, and the better the barrier to water vapor, the better the preservation of food. Plastic films used for vacuum packaging generally require a low oxygen permeability, such as PET, PA, PVDC, EVAL and other films with good gas barrier properties, but these materials are generally not used alone, considering the heat sealability and Barrier to water vapor. Commonly used films with good heat-sealing properties such as PE and PP are compounded with them to form composite materials with better comprehensive packaging properties. It should be noted that single-layer PE and PP cannot be used for vacuum and inflatable packaging due to their high air permeability. The plastic film used for inflatable packaging generally requires good barrier properties to nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen. Composite packaging films based on PET, PA, PVDC, EVAL, etc. are often selected. For flavored foods, the packaging is also required to have light-proof and display effects, and composite packaging materials based on A1 foil are often used. The permeation rate of various packaging materials to gas is closely related to the ambient temperature. Generally, as the temperature increases, the air permeability also increases. Vacuum and air-packed food should be stored at low temperature. If stored at higher temperature, the food will deteriorate in a short time due to the increase of air permeability; for fresh food or processed food that is no longer heated and sterilized after packaging , should be stored and circulated at low temperature (below 10 ℃).
