High levels of vitamin D and excess vitamin D fed to pets over time can lead to lethargy, stiffness, vomiting, diarrhea or excessive urination.
All retail stores that sell these products will display notifications.
These notices explain to the customer why the product was recalled and tell them what to do if any product was purchased.
The company will also contact customers who purchase affected products as much as possible.
If you buy any pet food, you should stop feeding your pet with these products and return the food to the place you bought for a full refund.
If you are concerned that your pet may have symptoms of illness after eating an affected product, then you should immediately seek veterinary advice.
No other Sainsbury\'s products are known to have an impact.
