It\'s time to clean up the garage.

You go to work.
However, when you go home, you are surprised to see that all your garbage is still on the side of the road ---
And a ticket to your front door.
Hazardous waste cannot go out on the side of the road.
The recycling rules vary widely across states.
You should be able to get a list of recycling policies at your town hall or download one from their website.
It is difficult for some jurisdictions to do so.

Here are some tips: when the time is up, wash the used oil into a clean, dry plastic bottle-
The empty milk jug is perfect. -
And label the used oil.
The oil can be purchased with a gallon tank instead of a quart tank, which is worth considering as the tank can be easily reused to handle the oil.
In most states, any store that makes an oil change needs to buy a small amount of waste oil from consumers.
Used oil can be recovered or burned in a special furnace for heating.
Empty plastic bottles can be thrown into the recycling process with household plastic without polluting the entire recycling infrastructure with oil.
What about old coolant?
Coolant is available in many large stores
Recycling machine.
These are actually extracting ethylene glycol from the old coolant, allowing the store to add additive packaging and reuse it as new.
Call to find one of these machines and the store may let you drop the old coolant.
