Whatever you call it, one of the most important holidays in the Chinese Lunar Calendar is happening on Saturday, September 10. The Moon Festival originated over 3,000 years ago and is believed to bring good luck, a bountiful harvest, and lifelong happiness. The traditional Chinese festival in celebration of the moon happens on the eighth month and 15th day in the Chinese Lunar calendar. What’s more, September 10th,2022 is also Teachers ’ Day. It's common practice to have mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Boxes of moon cakes are given out as gifts before and during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The types of mooncakes are assorted nuts, lotus seed paste, red bean paste, and so on. These often include the addition of one, two, or even four salted egg yolks.
In order to comply with the tradition of eating moon cakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Guangdong Kenwei issued moon cakes and shopping cards to all employees as a Mid-Autumn Festival welfare. Although moon cakes are delicious, we remind everyone not to be gluttonous, which can easily cause indigestion. On the other hand, moon cakes contain high sugar content and are not recommended for diabetics.
Finally, Kenwei hereby wishes everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher’s Day.
